ENGINEER PASS, COLORADO
One of the most breathtaking trails we’ve explored — high alpine views, rugged climbs, and unforgettable moments.
July 2025 | Colorado High Country
Engineer Pass isn’t just a trail — it’s an experience that stays with you long after the dust settles.
This was part of our Colorado journey in July, a trip that took us through multiple mountain passes, alpine valleys, and remote backcountry routes. But Engineer Pass stood out in a way that’s hard to put into words. High above sea level, surrounded by rugged peaks and wide-open skies, every mile demanded respect — from the terrain, the weather, and the mountain itself.
Steep climbs, narrow shelf roads, and constantly changing conditions made this trail as technical as it was breathtaking. One moment you’re focused on line choice and traction, the next you’re pulling over just to take it all in — snow-capped peaks, wild alpine views, and silence broken only by wind and tires on rock.
This wasn’t about rushing through a destination. It was about slowing down, trusting the build, and earning every view along the way. Engineer Pass reminded us why we do this — for the challenge, the connection to the trail, and the stories that only places like this can give you.
Every trail leaves a mark. This one left a story.
